My Personal Canon EOS 7D Review: Making the Upgrade

I wanted to take the time today to write my own Canon EOS 7D review and share with other people my thoughts and opinions on this camera. I have to give you some background on me to get started, though. I have largely been the kind of guy who buys those much cheaper point and shoot cameras, so I don’t have a lot of photography experience. However, after getting incredibly frustrated with the cheap image quality you get from those cheaper cameras, I decided enough was enough. I wanted to buy a quality camera, and after much research on my part, this was my choice.

Ease of Use

Given my background and obvious lack of experience with all things photography related, I have to say in this Canon EOS 7D review that this is a camera ideally suited for me. It takes all of those advanced features that make a high end camera so fabulous and gives you professional results without the need of actually being a professional. This is an 18 MP CMOS digital SLR camera, and it comes with a 19-point auto focus feature and great ISO. It also has a three-inch LCD screen with an intelligent viewfinder, too.

The Images

Of course, I have been through my share of easy to use cameras, and so in my Canon EOS 7D review, I have to take time to say that the image quality in this particular camera is stunning to say the least. With its Dual DIGIC 4 image processor and high speed operation, it captures true to life colors with crisp, clear contrast. I have been able to shoot in brighter and darker situations with great results, and I can even get some action shots without the annoying blur that is common with them.

Worth It?

You can tell from reading through my Canon EOS 7D review that I really do think this camera is worth the price. It is so refreshing to finally use a camera that works the way I think they all should! Of course, my opinions are not unique. Many other people have tried this camera out, and they are loving the results of using it, too. Here are some of their comments:

“Canon 7D is an advanced Canon EOS DSLR camera designed primarily for sports and action photography. EOS 7D is a step up of Canon 40D and 50D.”
— Enche Tjin, Amazon.com

“The 7D appears to be a game-changer for many Canon photo enthusiasts like myself who prefer or can only afford to shoot with an APS-C sensor body.”
— Garrett Lowenthal, Amazon.com

There are quite a few people who have tried the Canon EOS 7D and taken the time to show their results in a video.   I found one which shows the results in a spectacular setting and is well worth watching…

Saving Money

I can’t tell you in my Canon EOS 7D review whether this is the right camera for you or not, although you can see that even an average Joe like me is able to take some amazing shots with it. I do recommend it, and if you choose to buy it, be sure to head over to the product website to save some money. I got a great pricing deal through that site, and I liked knowing I was buying the real camera direct from the manufacturer, too.
